The ANT USB Service facilitates ANT wireless communication through a compatible ANT USB stick when used with the ANT Radio Service on your phone. ANT wireless technology opens up a wide array of possibilities, allowing seamless interaction with numerous ANT+ devices like heart rate monitors, running foot pods, cycling power meters, weight scales, blood pressure monitors, and more.

*Known Limitations:
<ol>
<li>Not compatible with "USB1" ANT sticks as they use a different USB controller incompatible with newer versions.</li>
<li>Connection of ANT USB sticks mandates USB Host support on your phone. If you can install this ANT USB Service from the Play Store, your phone should naturally support USB Host. A USB OTG cable and an ANT USB Stick are then all that's needed. For specific requirements, refer to http://www.thisisant.com/consumer/ant-101/ant-in-phones/.

<li>Some devices (e.g., Motorola XOOM, Gateway TP-A60/Acer Iconia A500) may suspend USB when the screen shuts off, interrupting ANT connections. This is a hardware constraint necessitating individual app modifications.
</li>
<li>Apps utilizing outdated interface versions may not work with attached ANT devices via this USB Service, only supporting devices with built-in ANT compatibility. In such instances, encouraging app developers to update their software to accommodate newer versions is recommended. To check for stick detection issues, test connectivity using our sample apps like the ANT+ Plugins and the ANT+ Plugin Sampler; if detection varies among apps, it's indicative of older legacy interface usage.</li>
